What is SLIT (Sublingual Immunotherapy)?
SLIT (Sublingual Immunotherapy), also known as allergy drops, is a form of immunotherapy that involves administering small doses of allergens under the tongue. The goal of this treatment is to desensitize the body's immune system to specific allergens, ultimately reducing allergic reactions and symptoms.
SLIT (Sublingual Immunotherapy) works by exposing the body to small amounts of allergens over time. This exposure helps to build up the body's tolerance to these allergens, reducing the severity of allergic reactions. The drops are placed under the tongue and held for a few minutes before swallowing, allowing for absorption into the bloodstream through the mucous membranes.

What You Can Expect
First Visit
During your first visit we complete a thorough health history. Additionally, w complete allergy testing by poking finger and collecting 5 drops of blood to be sent off.
Second Visit
During your second visit, you'll come in to pick up your drops and complete your first dose in office.
Maintenance Check-Ups
We then meet quarterly to monitor progress and release additional doses of meds until maintenance is reached.
